What will follow will be a short break (1 day or so) so we can assess if the project is a good fit for our business.

We can then get together again over the phone, and if the project seems like a good match for us, we can further discuss details. In person visits to look at the space to be remodeled or added on to will likely be needed at this point. The goal at this stage will be to bring the proposed project into a perspective that gives us a clear enough picture so that we can estimate how much time should be allowed for planning. It is also a goal to gather all the necessary information to build the contract that will direct the work on your space.

With the demands of the preconstruction process estimated, and before more work is completed to plan and prepare for your project, we will ask for a non-refundable deposit that will help cover the cost of our pre-construction expenses (planning, drafting etc.). 50% of this pre-construction deposit will be credited to the construction costs of your project.

Following our receipt of the pre-construction deposit we will work to build an official proposal/agreement that will include a scope of work, project specifications, an estimate of cost with a proposed payment schedule, warranty information, terms and conditions, and a timeline for the project’s milestones- projected from an estimated start date.

You can feel informed and in control because of the planning and communication we will complete up-front in the pre-construction stage. Now in the construction stage we will maintain careful communication throughout to make sure we are all on the same page. Especially in the case of a remodel were you as the clients may be occupying the space under construction, we will be diligent to show the utmost respect of your property (flooring and belonging protection), health (dust isolation), and privacy (communication and notice about work times).

Any issues that should arise down the road (and we will dot our i’s and cross our t’s to ensure no problems) and can be demonstrated to be of our doing will be resolved by us regardless of how long ago the work was done. Additionally, be assured that separate from our workmanship, quality issues with any products installed can be handled through us.
